Jack Creek Ranch

This exceptional 2,500 ± acre mountain ranch offers diverse uses and unlimited opportunity for the future owner. Situated along the west slope of the Big Horn mountains at elevations ranging from 8,200' - 9,300', with nearly four miles adjoining the Bighorn National Forest (BHNF). The Cloud Peak wilderness boundary is less than a mile away.

The diverse terrain offers great grazing from June through mid-October at about 2.5 AUMs, tremendous scenic views of the surrounding mountains and the Big Horn Basin, and habitat for elk, mule deer and moose!

There is an older cow camp cabin on the property, used for both work and as a hunting camp. There are no zoning or other building restrictions on the property, allowing a new owner to do as you see fit. There are numerous springs and a couple of perennial streams throughout the ranch, along with numerous pine, fir and aspen timber patches.

Seasonal vehicular access is made via BHNF Route 17 from just above Shell Falls on US-14, past the Shell Creek Ranger Station and south to the property. Winter access is via snowmobile, and is the only snowmobile route between the north and south ends of the Bighorn mountains.

The sellers are willing to split their property up for the benefit of the buyer who wants less acreage. Offered as follows:
1st parcel - South 660 acres including 320 acres of BLM permit.  Both have frontage on the National Forest @$990,000.00 with the North 1490 acres at $1,788,000.00 including some BLM permit.  South portion must be sold first.

Current Price: $2,500,000
